So You Want To Be A Writer

So You Want To Be A Writer

One of the first and most brilliant writing Podcasts I ever discovered was “So You Want To Be A Writer” hosted by Valerie Khoo and Al Tait and presented by the Australian Writer’s Centre. It has been a huge part of my education and motivation as a writer and the reason I started writing my book in the first place.

Through this podcast I discovered Nanowrimo and like thousands of others, followed and used Al Tait as an invisible coach to keep my words on track for that entire month, as she publicly tallied her own and cheered us on.

At the end of November I stood proud with around 33,000 words. Without this awesome podcast I would never have known about Nanowrimo and I would probably still be navel gazing right now. I take away something from every single episode, that I apply practically to my writing. It has been an invaluable sidekick on my evolution as a writer and I can’t recommend it enough.

If you love to write then you MUST listen to the “So You Want To Be A Writer” podcast, it’s like a course, mentor and coach all in one. Subscribe now on iTunes.  Click here to visit iTunes.
